By using Generator Budget, you agree to these terms. The site provides general educational information and planning estimates for U.S. standby-generator projects. It does not provide contracting, engineering, electrical, fuel-system, legal, insurance, tax, or code-compliance services.
02 / Estimate limitations
Real projects require local verification.
Calculator results are illustrative ranges based on versioned assumptions. Actual equipment, labor, permits, utility work, taxes, site conditions, code requirements, and contractor pricing may differ. A licensed local professional must confirm load, equipment, fuel pressure, pipe and conductor sizing, placement, setbacks, permits, and every safety requirement before purchase or installation.
Quote-comparison results reflect only the anonymous proposal details you select. They do not verify that bids are equivalent or complete, adjust totals for missing work, approve a contractor, determine best value, validate credentials, or certify design, safety, permit, warranty, or code compliance.
03 / Your responsibility
Do not treat an estimate as approval.
You are responsible for how you use the result and for obtaining appropriate bids, inspections, approvals, professional advice, and utility coordination. Do not use the site for emergency decisions or as the sole basis for purchasing or installing equipment.
04 / Permitted use
Use the site and public benchmark data honestly.
You may use and share ordinary calculator results for personal planning and bid comparison. You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, misrepresent the estimate as a certified quote, copy the site as your own service, or use automated activity that degrades availability.
Under this public benchmark data license, version August 5, 2026, you may download, quote, and share the published CSV and JSON benchmark files for personal planning, non-commercial research, and editorial citation when you attribute Generator Budget and retain the model version and review date. This permission applies only to those benchmark files; it does not extend to the site branding, interface, explanatory content, or implementation, and it does not imply endorsement or a warranty.

Generator Budget branding, interface, explanatory content, and original model implementation are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules. External trademarks, product information, and linked material belong to their respective owners. A link does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or continuing accuracy.
